Moving to Altinkum - Turkey
Posted: Sun Feb 19, 2006 2:48 pm
Hi everyone.
My wife and I are moving to Altinkum in Turkey in April of this year. We have an appartment there as well as having some work organised. Can anyone who has made this move give us any tips or hints as to what pitfalls or traps 'newies' can fall into?
Thanks

Hi,
I live in Turkey, nr. Kusadasi.
Traps/Pitfalls....Do you have a work permit in place to do the work you have organised?
If you haven't, it is possible you will be deported on discovery of working.
Are you entering on a 3 month visa?
There is so much you will need to know, and I suggest you visit the main Turkish info site...www.mymerhaba.com There are hundreds of postings to help you get sorted out, and every question you have should get answered there.

Welcome!
I would also recommend you to be carefull if you want to bring your vehicle here. The procedure is hard and expensive.
Kolay gelsin
