New costs for visa stamps to TR
The public meeting with the Ministry of Migration revealed new cost for visa stamps for travellers to Turkey.
While they are able to buy an evisa online before they come to Turkey for about £13, those do not obtain one will still be able to get a visa sticker in their passports.
However the visa sticker – after April 11 – will cost £20 – double what British travelers have been paying for years on entry.
The e-visa management team revealed that 74,949 Brits have applied for evisas, but come second - to residents of Iraqi who have applied for in excess of 200,000 evisas.
The team added that kiosks will be available in airports in Turkey, and potentially in foreign airports, eo ensure people obtain an e-visa.
The visa stamp in the passport is expected to be dropped by the end of 2014 once the transition period comes to an end.
