UK to Newfoundland Move - Work Permits and Visas
I'm 23, so a bit new to this game and it seems like there is a wealth of knowledge on this site, so was hoping I could pick some brains! I have tried the Canadian Embassy in London but their switchboard is saying they don't take general enquiries.
I'm from the UK and have a job offer from a company in Newfoundland in engineering, and the company are in the process of sorting a work permit for me. The information I've seen online so far seems to indicate that this work permit is all I need to come to the country, but the cynic in me feels this is too good to be true and surely I need a longer term visa of some description?!
Assuming, as the sites infer, that I can get in with just the Work Permit, am I limited to 4 years in the country or can I apply for a more permanent Visa during this period?
Any help much appreciated!
