Hi, can anyone confirm that if i sent a letter addressed to The Post Office in Varna, +359 52 600081, Bulgaria, headed with my friends name, that it would actually get there? She promises it will but it doesn't look like its enough information!
Cheers, Mandy

I think that if you address the letter as "Post Restante' that the post office ('Tsentralna Poshta') will keep it for you for a month or so and there will be a small charge on collection.

I also believe that you should use the code 1000 as the city code i.e. varna 1000.

I cannot guarantee any of the above as i've nevber tried it!

The letter will probably not get there because thenumber which you write is a telephone number and not the zip code of a Post office in Varna.

Hi there, mandymoo
Be sure, your mail will go back.. There are a lot of post offices in Varna. End in general 9000 is the zip code, every post office have different number like 9001, 9003, 9005 so if its for the post Office you have to know this number. And they don’t call nobody on the phone… so you better have at least Post Office Box number

Hi mandymoo,
It looks like every body knows some think.
My name is Sofi and im an bulgarian.
Now i leave in UK, but im from Sofia and used to reseived all my post by "Post Restante" wich is the most secure way for recive you post showing your id card, specialy working in center of town.
Well in Bulgaria in every city center in "Central poste office" thea are "Post Restante". They realy keep your post for 30 days and then send it back to sender.
Once you sent a letter to:
9000 Varna,
Post Restante,
name of reciver,
Bulgaria
you could inform your friends and they will pick it personaly
It takes about a week to get thea, dont wory it's already tested ,and works well
all the best, Sofi/Guy

Hi All
The letter was returned with a slip attached quoting there was not enough information. I gave my friend a ring and she told me the + number was incorrect and so i've changed it and fingers are well and truely crossed again for it to reach her.
