Advice on employment and housing please

Post Posted: Tue Jul 05, 2016 2:15 pm

Hi, My name is Vicki,

My husband and I are seriously considering moving from England to Sweden.

We just dont know where to start!

This is our wish list (probably achievable, but we need to start somewhere). We have £100k and would ideally want to be mortgage free, 3/4 Bed house near forest's and lakes. We have two daughters 10yrs and 3yrs so need to be near schools and some kind of community so they can have friends.

My husband is in a construction sales and I am in caravan sales and we dont speak Swedish (yet)

We have been looking at Sollebrunn as you can get more for your money for housing, but we have been told unemployment is a huge issue in Sweden.

It feels like the "chicken and the egg" situation. Do we buy a house we want, then find work or find a job and possibly cant afford a house?

Can anyone please offer me some information. What is employment like there? Can we get a house for £100k?

Thank you in advance ....Vicki
