Central Portugal property sought for rent

Post Posted: Wed Oct 12, 2016 10:52 pm

Hi. If you have, or if you know of, a property available within the next few months and suitable for long-term rental in central Portugal, please get in touch. We are looking for somewhere quiet, with a good internet connection, and which will accept our elderly, well-behaved border collie - two to four bedrooms and either a decent garden, or some land, might be ideal. Thanks!

I know of a 3 bedroomed 3 bathroomed villa with land and pool for long term rental becoming available on January 1st. Owner is wanting 12 month long term rental. It is located outside Santa Barbara de Nexe in a rural location with fabulous views.
A Dutch couple have had it rented for 8 years but returning to Holland due to health reasons.
Rental value is €1400 per month long term.

Thanks for this - sounds nice but we are looking for something rather cheaper, probably to visit intermittently as a holiday home in the first instance.

Regards, David

Hi

We have a large property in central portugal (about half an hour north of Coimbra) - 4/5 bedrooms/3 bathrooms/very large garage and outside space). We are looking at letting the property long term (only been used for holidays over the last 9 years) - I've attached a few photos if you interested just let me know. It's in immaculate condition and fully furnished with all mod cons - we are also looking at selling the property as another option to renting.

Regards. Kevin

Hi Kevin,

Many thanks for your reply, and my apologies for not having got back to you - I have only just seen your post. Unfortunately, we are really looking a little further south. We have not yet settled on the area, and are going out for more exploration this March (2017).

For general information, we would need somewhere quietly located, so not on a main road, somewhere within the broad region spreading from Coimbra to perhaps Santarem or so, and with reasonable access to a major city (reasonable means up to an hour's drive).

Thanks! For information, right now the days are 10 degrees C hotter in Santarem than here, in Devon.
