Hello All!

What is your experience with real estate agents in Bulgaria? Can you recommend anyone?

Hi

Not sure there is a straight answer to this. I am sure most people have had good and bad experiences. Same as anywhere, you have to remember that the agent work for the seller and it is their job to sell it. So in reality it is the buyer beware policy and up to the buyer to do their own research on the house , village and location, and know what you want from it.

Do you know which area you are interested in ?

Most agents here will charge you for fuel when viewing properties and some cover quite a big area so you have to budget for this.

I personally have had good experiences with the agents I found but it is really best that you find the property you like in an area you want. You may find a few agents have the same place on their books and not always at the same price.

If you have an idea what you want and where I will be happy to give you my thoughts and others on here may also be able to advise

Good luck , Hope to hear from you soon

Hello,

Thank you very much for your reply.

Any area / region in Bulgaria would be fine. Actually, I am not going to buy a porperty. I am a TV researcher and I am currently looking for contributors for an American TV show about expats & real estate. I need to find real estate agents who are fluent in English and serve expats, especially Americans, Aussies, Brits, Canadians or Irish.

I have 2 months ago completed buying my house in Bulgaria after searching on & off for 4 years. I have looked at several regions & had contact with a number of agents.

I selected the region and agent I used to buy my house solely because Ves (Vesalin Valchev of Ideal Homes) is a brilliant, helpful, professional & knowledgeable guy. He has lots of expats who have used him for the same reason. His English is 100% excellent, he is also honest & will warn you which area, village, region is good or bad. His advise is a definite plus to have.

On top of that positive help Ves provides after sales services that covers a huge range of needs a expat will need to live in Bulgaria whether it be help of car licence, utility companies, sourcing items such as furniture, electricals. My list could go on & on. So for your needs justynairena you wont go wrong with Ves.

This is his WebPage & will provide you with all his contact details :- www.idealhomes-bg.com/...e/p1/.html

Good luck Annie
