English family wanting information on emigrating to Canada
Hi new to the forums so sorry if been answered before(just nice to hear from the horses mouth direct)
My wife and I are very interested in emigrating to Canada(Ontario area) and are visiting for a holiday\travel\research in the next few months. We have done a lot of research online and are looking at taking the express entry route- any info on this or alternate method would be great!
Any information or recommendations on towns that are more rural as we live in a small town(30,000 population) in Yorkshire so we are used to a more countryside life than a city life. We are hoping to travel around and visit towns on our holiday. We are staying near Toronto for a few days but then heading up near Lake Muskoka and then down to Niagra falls.
Our main concern at the moment is jobs! My wife is a primary school teacher (we are aware of getting accredited) and I am a lorry driver. The main questions (many more) going around our heads at the moment are:
Are there teacher shortages or is it a hard career to get into?
Would the schools look twice at an English born teacher with no Canadian teaching experience?
Are there any agencies that my wife could sign up to and do supply?
It says on the express entry about having a job off? How do we get a job offer without being in the country?
I believe I will need to retrain to carry on being a lorry driver. I'm aware it is completely different to drive in Canada so am coming with an open mind and any help or information would be grateful.
Any British born people on here that have moved and been through all this lately have any tips or information on anything we may not of thought about would be much appreciated.
Thanks in advance
