Moving back to the UK

Post Posted: Sat Sep 23, 2017 10:33 pm

Hi

Due to work we need to move back to the UK. Our business has taken of so much we need to return to run it.

I know someone who got themselves a UK registered car to drive back and that's my question does anybody know the best places to look to find a UK car or van. All our furniture will be going by a removal company but there lots we would rather carry ourselves. We don't want to use our Portuguese car as we can sell it for a good price.

So if you have a car or van or know someone please PM me.

Ray

Watch out for the many UK cars that have been in Portugal too long and now have no valid MoT certificate as you will be unable to (legally) drive it back to the UK and won't be able to obtain road tax either (the tax no longer transfers from the previous owner). You can check MOT status here.

That site is very good as it gives you a comprehensive record of the vehicle's current and previous MOT history, you can also get current MOT status & the road tax status on this site vehicleenquiry.service.gov.uk/
