IHT and other taxes in Spain

Post Posted: Fri Feb 02, 2018 11:28 pm

Hi, my name is Debbie from West Sussex in the UK.

My partner has always wanted to live in France however the taxman implications in France appear extremely harsh and very complicated. I would prefer to live in Spain and I’d like to compare these tax rules against each other. This may be the deciding factor.

Can anybody point me in the right direction where as a layman might understand them in Spain better, especially the IHT rules on the first to die and on the second plus other taxes.

We are not married and have a grown daughter together.

Any other advice welcome.

Thanks
Debbie
