before moving permanently to start life in a new country, would it be a good idea to obtain a travel visa for only a couple of months at most but only as a tourist to visit the country where one would like to settle down for good to start looking for a job so like that one can secure a job before actually moving there for good? this is what i mean, i was born in el salvador but would like to secure a job in santiago, the capital before actually moving to santiago for good after my future wife will petition me to move over with her for good! what i was thinking of doing before moving to chile permanently is to go to chile but only on a tourist visa for a month or two and when i arrive start looking at the local newspapers to see what kind of jobs would be available for me to apply to like lets say a self employed truck driver, newspaper delivery courier, ect.... and after those two months are over return to el salvador assuming that i had gotten in contact with an employer to secure a job. i dont know if i would be able to secure a job via the internet without actually looking at local newspapers but only for santiago assuming that i had gone as only a tourist. can i secure a job without having to go to santiago on a tourist visa via the internet only? this is gonna be the tricky part as far as how to secure a job without ever stepping foot in chile.............. i feel lonely like i have help from no one and like im gonna have to do everything alone and this part scares me because i dont want to make mistakes along the way! how do people secure jobs before moving to a country that theyve never been to let alone stepped foot on? can someone please tell me what to do? i dont want to fail. im confused here. can you kindly reply back. thank you.
