Negotiating salary and 30% tax rule, contractor [twist]

Post Posted: Mon Aug 27, 2018 8:26 pm

I had a job interview in the Netherlands and am asked to provide my net salary wishes. Now there's a problem here as I would qualify for the 30% tax rule. To me it seems like it doesn't matter if I qualify for this or not if I provide a net salary. This would only in the end have implications for the employer, right? How would you go about this?

Secondly, there's the possibility of being either a salaried employee or a contractor. What are the ins and outs of being a contractor? I know I cannot become a ZZp'er as I'd only have one client. Thus what does that mean? Setting up a BV? Are there actual advantages of being a contractor over a salaried employee?
