Hi Garrick
Happy new year I've not been on here for a while myself been way to busy with building work on our house, normally I only usually go on here if I have a question to ask or if I can answer a question, but have not totally abandoned the site just busy

Facebook has an annoying format; all one column, so only new things are visible.
Packed with jumping banners and ads too.
Yet it seems to be successful.
A big part might be that advertising things for sale is allowed; that makes it more fun, gives a bit of 'flea market' thrill. On the other hand, it could descend into 90% scams and commerce.

Like others, I just haven't got a lot to say here that I think would interest other 'expats'.

My hobbies and obsessions are better shared with people who have overlapping hobbies and obsessions, regardless of geographical location.

Hi Guys and Gals,
Great to see a bit more action on the Forum again.
Also good to read of other folks experience re Brexit. Could be a 'runner' in the weeks to come.
Regards
Garrick

I must admit to being guilty of using FB more and forgetting about this site.

And we miss you. The problem being, not all of us are Facebook savvy or FB lovers. I'm not sure what advantages there are to this site (or any other) moving over to FB. I joke with peeps when I say that I am the person who doesn't use FB, but I know there are many others out there. It's sad, but that seems to be the way things are going.

Must admit we are not lovers of any online media sites like Facebook, Twitter can't see the point of them & now you know 2 more people that don't use Facebook
