Any British expatriates in Casablanca?

Post Posted: Mon May 15, 2006 3:08 am

Hi there again everyone,

I'll be arriving in Casa at the end of July....I was just wondering if there are any British expats there? I'm 22 yrs old and am coming to Casa to be with my boyfriend who's got a job there. I was wondering if anyone can tell me if it will be easy to get a job there in any multinational companies? Could anyone give me names of big companies where I can apply to....if not i'll just be an English teacher. As my boyfriend will be working long hours and i'll be by myself alot of the time, what do people do to occupy themselves? I'm thinking of starting a club when I get there if anyone would be interested to join it....

Hi Amy

I come out to Rabat every 6 weeks to stay with my boyfriend and his family. Perhaps we could arrange to meet up - I know Rabat is 90 minutes away from Casa, but perhaps we could arrange something as we are both new out there (I have been visiting since December). I will be there for most of the summer. Please feel free to get in touch.

My email is carolwalters @ tiscali.co.uk
and I am on MSN at carolwalters @ hotmail.co.uk

Hope the move goes well.

Love, Carol

Hi Amy and Alexandra, just wondered how you ve
settled in so far in Casa? Have you managed to meet up with any other
English speakers? How about your club idea? Have you managed to find jobs?

Well I m thinking of moving to Casa in the next 2yrs yrs with my bf
who s from Casa, but as you can imagine am rather apprehensive. I m not
sure what I do there and I m not overally keen on the idea of being an
english teacher. I would however like to get involved in charitable
work or the American schools in some where...not sure how. Also, I ve
heard about the organisation called AIWC for English speaking women where
they have regular meets and activities, but I can t help but think its
more geared towards 50+ yr olds. I m not sure though.

Well it d be great to hear from you both as to your experiences so
far and how your settling in.

Really look forward to hearing from you soon.

Take care
