Piano Lessons

Post Posted: Mon May 15, 2006 4:10 am

I am currently a frequent visitor to Rabat, but hope to move there full-time in the near future to be with my boyfriend and his family. I am currently employed in England as a piano teacher.

I was wondering if any ex-pats out here know whether there is a demand there for piano lessons. I know it is not a high priority amongst the locals, but perhaps amongst English/American ex-pats? I am finding it really difficult to find information on my visits. I know there is an American School and a Conservatoire of Music, but cannot find any information on piano teaching.

Any feedback/contacts would be most welcome.

Many thanks

Carol Walters

Yes, there are LOTS of people who would take you up on private piano lessons. Extracurricular activities are not offered in most schools here, so parents often look for such opportunities outside of school. You could take flyers to the American Schools, or French Schools in your city, or even the private Moroccan schools (there are a lot in each city).
