Taking you car to Turkey

Hi Guys and Girls can anyone help me with this. I want to take my Pajero to Turkey and register it there so I have a Turkish plates and blend in a little better has anyone done this ? If so can you point me in the right direction on how to go about it. Hoping to get down there middle July.

I propose u not to do it... but if u have to, I can give you more details... prepare to give huge L/C to the registry officials, u need to have living and working permits etc...

If u just come for short time u can stay here with u car 3 to 6 months, depends where are u coming from.

Hi jYRRAYS sorry i didnt get back to you been out of town for a week can you give me any help with this i want to buy property in turkey I have a friend who has purchased down in bodrum, and i want my car down there so i can get around for a few months my friend says i can leave th car with him and fly back to the uk, and then visit later in the year again.
can you help me with the process of registering the car with turkish plates.

you cannot register ur car with TR plates. u can get foreigner plates (blue plates) but the car stays foreign as long as you pay the taxes.

if u come with uk plates, when leaving the country u have to take ur car to customs car park. and the car can stay in TR only 6 months a year!

its easier for u to buy or rent a car from here, believe me!

thanx for that jyrrays do you no how much the taxes are and also are these personl taxes for being ther or car taxes

u have to pay road taxes for cars registered in TR. It depends on ur car!
