Anyone in Sao Paolo?

Post Posted: Tue Jun 06, 2006 4:37 pm

Does anyone have experience of living in Sao Paolo?

We are an UK expat family (Mum, Dad and 3.5 year old boy) currently based in the Netherlands who have a possibility of working in Sao Paolo.

Anyone have any advice, information etc. Security is my main concern.

Many thanks

Hello Nicola66,
I have never been to Sao Paolo, but I have been North of Brasil, Natal, Joao Passoa, and Recife. I know that there is a web site for the area nad it gives good advice. I only found it today as my wife and I are returning to Brasil next Jan 2007 only for two weeks this time to try to set up an Investment account so that we can move out there sometime next year.

I am sure that you will enjoy the area that you have picked, but there is crime everywhere these days so treat every event with caution.

The web address is www.gringoes.com Good Luck.

David SR

Take a look at this article about San Paolo written just over a week ago
observer.guardian.co.u...85,00.html

Unless you will be living in a secure compound i would give this place a wide berth

cheers
