Retiree Health Care:

Post Posted: Fri Jun 23, 2006 6:06 pm

I am a 66 year old US citizen and am planning to relocate permanently to Spain later this year. I am covered by the US Medicare system, but just discovered it will not pay medical bills in Spain.

If I marry a Spanish citizen that is working, will I be covered by the Spanish medical care system for retirees? (My fiance' is much younger than I am), or do I just have to purchase medical insurance?
