Moving to Dubai 01/08/2006 Help Needed

Post Posted: Tue Jul 11, 2006 8:07 am

Hi All ,

im moving to dubai on the 1st august , only just found out last week so its a bit of a rush job. The company i will be working for are sorting accomodation and initial visa for entry into dubai.

Can anyone tell me what documents i will need for my stay in dubai ?

The contract offer i have taken is ' singal status ' but im to be married on the 28th July , will this effect my offer of employment if my staus has changed and that i would like to move my wife out early next year ?

Any help would be much appreciated

In order for the company to get your residence visa, you will the originals of qualification certificates as well as your UK driving license so you can get a local license. Your company should really advise you of all the details as a bare minimum.

Single status usually means that the company only looks after you as far as leave tickets are concerned. If your wife joins you, you will have to bear the cost for tickets, visa's, etc, unless you can renegotiate. You may need larger accommodation, etc.

Thanks Mark ,

When you say you wil need originals of qualification certificates , i have basically got this job through good references and and a lot of experience in the field in which i will be working but have no qualification certificates to speak of. The company are aware of this. Will this cause any problems when applying for future visas ?

It depends on the company that you work for and your particular area of expertise!
