Hello, I find it interesting that on this board there are a lot of people checking the different subjects BUT very, very few responses to people. What is the secret? It's a shame as this is how we learn and I thought that was what this board was all about. Hope to hear more from everyone! Idea vicki

I've noticed the same thing i.e. lack of responses.

I've been researching Panama for months after a serveral months of internet reseach on Mexico plus many books. After deciding the Mexico was just too much red tape and not very gringo friendly (can you blame them?), I've been researching Panama. It sounds wonderful but hard to find any real expat community there that really gives you the low down on living in Panama compared to so many good sites for Mexico. My impression so far is there is a lot of hype but no substance so far... I hope that changes soon.

onI received a private reply to my post. The reply said they prefered to reply in private messages. I'm confused as I thought the purpose of this site was to post to the general for information. I never received an answer to my private question either. So, good luck on your questions. I have found enough general information on the inter net to make us want to visit. I was told that a lot of US live on the islands? Have you found that to be true? Thanks for any info. Vicki

Hi Guys
I am inclined to agree with you as I have had the same problem. Months of searching and few replies. However, I have found a new site www.panama-zone.com/Forums. The guy who runs it is Steve. He has been a god send as he replies with good detail and helps all he can.
Like you guys I am full of zillions of questions but dont want to be a "pain" to anyone. He and his site are first rate. Give it a try.
Regards Laughing

Hi Sandbox...thank you so much for the new site! I hope it really picks up as I got some down to earth info. on there. The health ins. and gas prices were a little shocking! I will get busy and join. Very Happy We are researching Costa del Sol area in Spain as well as Margarita Island, VZ. So much general info. and nothing like talking to people that actually live there! Thanks again as Panama has been difficult. Good luck on your search! I'm with you on the spell check Ha! Ha! Vicki

Spanbox......I too have a spelling issue Ha! Ha! I do apologize for the Sandbox. Maybe it's wishful thinking as I want to be on a beach right now. Thanks for the new site and hope to see you there. Vicki
