CAMPO ???

I see a lot of reference to the campo. What does that mean? Is it just living out of town or is it a special areas?

Campo means countryside in general so properties in el campo are generally rural and can be quite isolated.

Hi
I have read some of your posts re mail etc.
Most of the replies are correct. However if you think you can get a PO Box right away, I think you are being mis-led. PO boxes are like gold dust and you have to be on the waiting list, which might or might not work. Your other option is to go to your local post office and request that you are recorded as "Lista de Correos". They will give you the address. This means that you will have to go to the post office and sift through the that mail to see if there is anything for you.
I run a mail business and if I can give you some advice, there are all sorts of stories about the Spanish Mail system. The truth is that between post office to post office their service is excellent. After that its pot luck.
Just imagine your home town has 2000 new immigrants in the countryside where there are no road names or maps how would the UK post office cope?
With great difficulty!
Try your local village as some guys offer a post box system for a few bucks a month.
Regards

Well I never did find the post office so I obtained an address at a local company that offers the service. I think that will work out better for me anyway. Thanks for the advice.
