THE NEW STAY FOR 90 DAYS RULING WITH JUST UK PASSPORT

Post Posted: Sun Sep 10, 2006 11:33 pm

Hi - I am a little perplexed to say the least about this new 90 days
ruling. Someone told me if i come to Bulgaria stay for 90 days and
then just go over the border, say, to Romania, get my passport
stamped - I can then come back and stay another 90 days...has
anyone heard of this....and is it ok to do this???

Any experiences would be much appreciated...

because there are so many stories going around about what you can do. allbeit legally or ilegal, i think the hopping over the border one everyone has heard of but im not sure its legal. To be sure i suggest you ask the british consulate in Varna. heres there website below. Please post your findings as a lot of other people will want to know the same as you.

Hi All,

Here goes, this is the situation as i have been told by one of my contacts in the Embassy in Bucherest. The period of time an individul from the UK, Ireland, and a few other places is now 90 days within a 6 month period this up from the origional 30 days. It does not matter how many times you HOP over the border as the amount of days you spend in the country runs concurrently from when you first enter for a period of six months. if you plan to stay for longer then you need to apply for your ID card or you will leave yourself open to a large fine BE WARNED this has happened to people I know recently so on your own head be it!!!
