yes you are quite right your flex card is fine thats what we use so no charge.
the rate at the mo is about 2.85 lev to the pound. you get a better deal out of the Atm. than having it exchange over there. theres an Atm At the Airport too.so you can just get a small amount out there and get the rest out when you get to the city.

YEP!...I agree ATMs...THe Way to Go. We had Our 1st.Card Swallowed The 1st Time we Used it in SPAIN!...Stuck At XMAS Borrowing CASH Till The Card Was REplaced...Via My Mother, AS They Won't Send Replacements Abroad! SO...We now Carry a 2nd set of Cards...for a Dormant A/C...Soon as the Card Gets Swallowed...You Transfer Your Funds On the NET...To the Dormant A/C...And BUSINESS as USUAL!

SO FAR SO GOOD! BOB.

If you don't mind walking round with cash, bring pound notes out and change them at the bank. You can get some fierce exchange rates, commission-free. Postbank tends to offer the best prices here in Samokov. Be careful to bring notes in good condition (preferably new) cos they won't accept torn or dirty notes.
