Who are you?

My name is Grace, I am 21 years old and from Hertfordshire in the UK.

Where, when and why did you move abroad?

I moved to Aarhus, Denmark in August 2016. I moved here after graduating with a Sociology degree from the University of Nottingham in July 2016. Who are you?

My name is Laura, and I’m a German expat currently living in Copenhagen. I’m 27 years old and work in an investment bank as a risk manager. In my free time, I also write a blog, The Copenhagen Tales, about my life and experiences as an expat in Denmark.

Where, when and why did you move abroad?

I moved to Copenhagen, Denmark, in September 2012, from Germany. I moved to Denmark to live with my boyfriend, who’s a Dane. During my many visits to Copenhagen, I’d fallen in love with the city, which made the decision to move much easier!    more ...

Who are you?

I’m an American living in Denmark, at last count for 13 years. I like it here, and I think it’s an excellent place to raise a family. People work relatively limited hours, so there’s a lot of time for family and friends. And it’s a small, gentle society, so there’s very little of the pressure you see in more competitive places.

Professionally, I was trained as a journalist and worked as a reporter for many years. But it’s very difficult being at the mercy of the news: when you’re a reporter, you have to drop everything and follow the big story whenever it breaks, even on evenings, weekends and holidays. I’ve now moved into communication consulting, and that suits me much better. I work with Danish companies and help them get their message across in English, which I enjoy.    more ...

Who am I?

I’m an open and curious Russian living in Denmark. Have an education in translation, linguistics. If you add new and growing interest in marketing + yoga, then you get pretty much a picture of me. This article will add up to it as well, I believe

Where, when and why did I move to Denmark?

I moved to Denmark in August 2012, because approximately five years ago in Russia I met my Danish prince charming. We met quite commonly, when I started working as his translator in Russia; and 5 years later he was back to Denmark, we got married and decided that Denmark should be our home. So, here I am.    more ...
