WICE (Paris)

WICE is one of the oldest Anglophone organizations in Paris. For more than 33 years, the non-profit association has been offering cultural and educational programs to the international and expat community in Paris. Day-to-day operations are supported by a dedicated group of volunteers, diverse in age and nationality. WICE offers: Varied classes and cultural activities for Anglophones in Paris; A welcoming and supportive environment; Opportunities to acquire and maintain marketable skills through Paris classes and volunteer activities; Programs and resources to ease the transition into life in France.


British Community Association of Lille

The British Community Association of Lille came into existence in the mid-seventies, when members of the British community created a Society to unite Anglophones in the Lille area. A dynamic organisation with an active committee and a loyal membership, the BCA is supplemented by a constant flow of English speakers on short-term postings. We provide numerous opportunities for individuals, families and their friends to meet and enjoy various social and cultural activities ranging from dinners and hikes to Bonfire Night and the Christmas Party at which Father Christmas has never failed to appear.


British and Commonwealth Women's Association

The BCWA was founded in 1962. Membership is open to all woman who are, or are married to, British or Commonwealth nationals. The clubroom is located at 157 rue du Faubourg St Honoré, just a short walk from the Arc de Triomphe. Normal opening times are 10:30 - 15:00 Monday - Friday. However, some activities start earlier and finish later. We also have occasional activities at the weekends.


American Women's Group of Languedoc-Roussillon

AWG is a friendly network of Americans and Anglophone women integrating into French society, using our joint skills to enrich our lives. Members of the AWG live in the Languedoc-Roussillon area, centered on Montpellier and its surroundings, in the south of France. We also have non-resident members as well, who live all over the world. We run a 10-month program; no events are scheduled during summer vacation. AWG is a non-profit, non-political, and non-sectarian organization.


Message - Parents Support Group in Paris

Message is a support and contact group for parents and parents-to-be living in and around Paris. Message is an English-speaking organisation but includes members, who speak English, from every corner of the globe and all walks of life. With well over 1,800 members, Message aims to provide a social and support network to expectant women, new mothers, fathers, and families with children of all ages, through a wide variety of parenting resources including dozens of monthly activities and events, practical advice and useful information. Message is an entirely volunteer-run, independent, non-profit association.


Lille International Circle and Expat Club

The group has established itself as a support network for those who are new in Lille, a place to meet new people and forge new friendships, a way to get a glimpse into different cultures. For nomads, globetrotters and expats living in Lille, it is also a place to reminisce, to indulge in memories of New York bagels, Canadian maple syrup, Turkish borek, Swedish meatballs, English tea with milk, and the list goes on. We organise regular monthly meetups dedicated to relaxed social evenings, occasional Sunday Scrabble and active meetups dedicated to discovering the Lille region on foot and by bike.



BritsNîmes is a non-profit making association of people interested in the English language.Membership is open to individuals or families. Most live in Nîmes and the Gard. BritsNîmes organise regular social or cultural activities. these are very varied and designed to help people to get to know the area and make new friends and meet local people. Information is dispersed via our website, emails and newsletters. BritsNîmes attracts members from many nationalities. Some have lived in the area for many years, other are recent arrivals. The regular get-togethers allow everybody to exchange experiences about life in France and allows children to meet and befriend other bi-lingual youngsters.


Centre Culturel Britannique (CCB)

The Centre Culturel Britannique (CCB) is an independent voluntary organisation dedicated to providing a warm welcome to all English-speaking residents wanting to make contacts in the Lille area. Whether you need to find your way around Lille, make contact with English-speaking groups, understand life in France a little better or simply chat over a cup of tea, we look forward to welcoming you to the Centre Culturel Britannique.


British Association Alpes Maritimes

The British Association Alpes Maritimes is a benevolent association, established under the French law of 1901, which provides welfare, social and general help and advice to British visitors/newcomers to, and residents in the Alpes Maritimes . We have Branches in Nice, Cannes and Menton. In 2011 we had close to 300 members. We are always looking for more to join us, and, in particular, anyone who would like to participate in our welfare programme.
