As a volunteer-run group, the AWCT offers a wide range of social activities and services designed to get members involved and connected, as well as facilitate their efforts to integrate into the German community. With monthly events such as neighborhood lunches, book clubs, travel and more, we are confident that our members will find an array of opportunities to make living in Germany an exciting experience.

Royal British Legion, District of Germany

The District of Germany is very much like a county RBL organization in the UK, responsible for the correct running of all its Branches. The main difference is that the branches are geographically much more spread out and it is also responsible for welfare cases within Germany but outside the individual Branch areas of responsibility. The District of Germany offices are located adjacent to the Herford Branch in the cellar of Block F Wentworth Barracks in Herford.

Berlin Dinner Club

Come along and join us if you can speak English and like dining out in Berlin, Germany. We are a diverse group of diners who like good food and are keen to sample the variety of fine restaurants and bars in this great city. All we ask is that you join in the conversation with everyone and have a good time. The dinners are usually held once a month, and can range from simple Asian food to fine gourmet cuisine. The theme changes each month and everyone can make suggestions for the next event. We often combine dinner events with other things, like bowling, jazz, lounging around, dancing, concerts, pool, wine tasting, whatever.

Anglo Stuttgart Society

The A.S.S. was founded in Stuttgart in the roaring 1970s. This was the time when the town was crowded with lots of English and American people, forced to leave their natural habitat to seek employment abroad, desperate for friendly folks with the same longing for Tea, Fish´n Chips, McDonalds, etc; and the same mortal fear of Kehrwoche, Brezeln, Maultaschen, and Württemberger Wein. Since then the A.S.S. provides a chance of meeting people from all over the world (including Germany) in an informal way. We have two regular meetings per month in various restaurants and several seasonal occasions, most notably a barbeque party and a "Weekend Away". Bowling sessions are also part of our program. Day trips to "Stuttgarter Events" are organized if enough people are interested.
