IDEA Drama Group

http://www.idea-panto.nl

I.D.E.A. was formed initially in 1991 as a means to allow English speaking people in the area of Dordrecht to participate in the production and performance of amateur theatricals. The major form of production was and still is the annual Christmas panto - a form which is unknown outside the UK. Over the years we have produced pantos (written by our own members) virtually every year, much to the enjoyment of the English resident population and to the delight of many Dutch people, who join in wholeheartedly.

British Society of Amsterdam (Britsoc)

http://www.britsoc.nl

The Society offers a program of social and educational activities and welcomes all English speakers to its extensive range of events. Regular activities range from the more active weekly events such as badminton and squash and even Scottish dancing, to less physically demanding but equally enjoyable events, such as restaurant, pub, dance and film nights, bridge, Dutch conversation and play reading. Apart from these, there are several one-off events that are run throughout the year, the most notable being our very successful annual wine trip, the annual Summer Ball, Amsterdam’s exclusive Guy Fawkes Night and last, but not least, our spectacular Christmas Ball. We have something to offer to all ages and all tastes and we welcome members of any age, from eight to eighty (and beyond!)

The AATG is an amateur group who enjoy, perform and support English-language theatre. It is not a group exclusively for actors and directors - we welcome anyone who is interested in any aspect of the theatre, on-stage or off. We also welcome members who do not want to take an active role in the society, but simply wish to keep in touch with English-language theatre in the Netherlands. We have about 150 members from all over Zuid-Holland. If you can understand English, you're welcome!
