Toronto - Crime & Safety
One major concern for expatriates in Toronto is the growing number of shooting incidents between rival gangs in the city, with innocents losing their lives in the crossfire. Other than this, reports of burglary and petty thefts in the city are overall low.
The Crime Prevention Association of Toronto (CPAT) is a non-profit organization working with different communities towards a crime-free Toronto. It spreads awareness in the city through a series of community-based programs involving volunteers and the Toronto Police Service.
