At Expat Focus, we like to be on the lookout for resources around the web that could help prospective expats adjust to their new countries. Today, we’re taking a look at the Czech Republic and some of the social media accounts you should be following if you’re thinking of moving there.

Expats in Prague – Unite Smile
Facebook Group

With over eleven thousand members this group is constantly updating and a fount of information for any potential expat to Prague and beyond. Discussion and respectful debate are encouraged as well as anything that is intended to help or inform other expats. There is a great supportive feel to the group and plenty of events are shared allowing excellent opportunities for getting out, exploring and meeting new people.

You are openly invited to ask any question you need to, there is no such thing as a silly question, one or more of the thirteen thousand members of the group will usually be able to give you a straight answer. Frequent events are shared here, so meeting new people seems pretty simple and making your own events is also encouraged if you can’t find anything to suit you. Honest experiences are shared about day to day expat life and much more besides, which makes this group a valuable well rounded resource to a potential expat.

Czech Expats Property Owners' Group

Available to current and aspiring expat property owners, this group allows members to discuss the ins and outs of the property market away from the other expat related issues. Whether you are looking for a mortgage, a builder or simply more personal advice based on other expats experiences you will be sure to find what you need here.

Crowdsource CZ
Facebook Group

An excellent place to ask all those questions you really need to ask. Certain frequent questions have been collated and can be found at the very start of the group page. With almost eight thousand members there is sure to be someone who can help with whatever queries you might have, usually multiple someones. This simple concept works like a charm.

Brno – Services for Expats and Czechs
Facebook Group

A group that promotes, and gives personal recommendations, of goods and services to the Brno community. When English-speaking services can be hard to find immediately, groups like this can make a huge difference to an expats initial experiences of a new country. Self-promotion is encouraged and you’ll find a great deal of support and resources for expats changing careers or starting their own businesses.
