Oslo - Communications (Telephone, Internet, TV, Post)
Located on St. Olavs Plass, Telenor's Customer Service (Kundeservice) can be contacted at the number 140 for a telephone connection. The telephone subscription comes along with a set of manuals and brochures pertaining to your neighbourhood and on telephone usage. Telenor retails telephone instruments through its Telehuset chain of stores.
Telephone charges include an installation fee, service fee for three months, and the calls that you make, charged by the minute. The call charges are proportionate to the destination and time of the call. Telephone bills are sent every three months, and payments have to be made within 20 days. You may request Telenor to provide you with a dialed numbers list along with your bill.
Mobile phone users in Oslo have access to the Turbo3G technology adopted by Telenor which enables downloads speeds of 3.6Mbit/s. The service provider's sophisticated technology has also enabled 'machine to machine' service which powers the reading of electric meters installed in homes; and the aeromobile service which facilitates calls from mobile phones during a flight.
