There are many local doctors, nurses and other healthcare professionals who speak good English, and in many cases, these healthcare professionals have received training in the US or other European countries. In particular, Bangkok has become Thailand's premier medical destination for international patients seeking medical treatment and elective / non-urgent surgery (e.g. plastic surgery).
