At Expat Focus, we like to be on the lookout for resources around the web that could help prospective expats adjust to their new countries. Today, we’re taking a look at Hong Kong and some of the social media accounts you should be following if you’re thinking of moving there.

This community has over thirty-three thousand English-speaking members; past, present and future residents are all welcome here. If you’re looking for advice this is the place to go, there is no such thing as a silly question and you will always receive a friendly reply. You will never be short of opportunities to meet and mix with new people; events are shared regularly and can be anything from yoga to brunch, flamenco to kayaking. Sarah Churgin
Twitter

Arizona-born Sarah has lived in Hong Kong since 2014. She shares her life as a single expat veterinarian very honestly and maintains her sense of humour throughout. She is living her dream job and that shines through: even with a heavy workload, exams and a more than a couple of language struggles she does try to look on the bright side. It’s all adventure rather than culture shock for this lucky expat.

Miles of Happiness
Twitter

Serial expat Marie was born in France and landed in Hong Kong via New Zealand, Indonesia and a few other places. A passionate traveller, her life as a digital nomad allows her to see the world and then share it with her followers. If you aren’t blown away by her stunning photography, her storytelling will grab you with both hands. This hardworking woman strives to make the best out of her life and aims tick off everything on her bucket list.

Karen Buckley
Twitter

Lifestyle coach Karen likes to lead by example: five marathons, five months before she hits fifty is her current goal! Her journey through life is something she shares daily, both the ups and the downs and with three grown up daughters off raising their own families she and her husband are exploring their new home as a couple, through running.

We’re always on the lookout for more accounts to feature - if you write about living in Hong Kong on social media, leave us a link in the comments and we’ll take a look!
