With almost sixty thousand members this is the biggest Facebook community group in the UAE. Members are encouraged to share their experiences and offer a helping hand to newcomers to Dubai, and what expat wouldn’t benefit from the knowledge that comes from first hand experience? There is a lot of information contained within this group, definitely utilise the search function to find any specifics, there is no doubt that there are plenty of answers here.

A friendly and welcoming group who all know what it’s like to be a new expat, they are happy to answer questions and aim to foster an online community for all Brits abroad. A good sense of humour is important for any expat and this group is adept at laughing at itself and the sometimes ridiculous mistakes and missteps that are all too easily made when living abroad. Many friendships have been made as a result of the group, rebuilding a social circle seems less daunting when groups like this exist.

A place to share the laughter and tears of expat life for all women in the UAE. This is a safe place to ask and find answers to those all-important questions, from simple recommendations for dentists to job opportunities and events, there really is something for everyone. There are also great connections to other smaller and more specialized interest groups, perfect for the new expat looking to make connections.
