We’ve recently spent some time travelling around the internet to find some of the best expat blogs in each country. This week, we’ve been focusing on Singapore – here are five of our favourites.

Anja is a Dutch blogger who lives in Singapore and does a lot of travelling around Asia. Curly Traveller shows the diversity and unique culture of Singapore, and puts a local twist on events that are popular worldwide. The blog also has quite a strong arts focus, and is a must-read for anyone who likes beautiful travel photography.Diary of an Expat in Singapore

Both a blog and a book of the same name, Diary of an Expat in Singapore provides a family-friendly look at what life is like with two small children in a new country. Run by Italian blogger Jennifer Gargiulo, it provides useful tips on living as an expat family. Check out the ‘Ten Sure Signs’ series for some humourous insights into Singaporean culture seen through the eyes of an expat.
Expat Kiwis

As the blog title suggests, Pam is an expat from New Zealand who now lives in Singapore with her family. Alongside the usual tips and tricks for getting by in Singapore, Expat Kiwis provides a lot of advice specific to New Zealanders who want to make the move. There’s also a nice juxtaposition of Singaporean and Kiwi news (lots of posts about Lorde!), plus some general life hacks that are useful to anyone, expat or otherwise, such as the Jar of Good Things That Happened. And if arts & crafts are your thing, take a look at the WorldColours posts for some fun ideas for colour-themed blog posts.
Minnesota Baby

A blog devoted to parents, children and families, Minnesota Baby provides a glimpse into the life of two expats from Minnetonka and their two-year-old child. Melissa posts tips about getting by in Singapore with a young family, as well as lots of giveaways and some very cute videos of Linna Jane growing up as an expat child. Definitely worth a read if you’re an expat who has, or is planning to have, a family in a new country.

Pallavi has been living and working in Singapore since 2011, and shares her tips for understanding the culture and customs of the city state. Most of the posts include anecdotes from Pallavi’s daily life, which adds a nice personal touch, and her cheery tone and positive outlook will definitely encourage anyone who hasn’t been sure whether making the move is the right idea. Foodies should also take a look at the Food Trails section, which details the best (and worst) places to eat in Singapore.
