Correr Es Mi Destino

With a plethora of Canada-centric topics on her blog Correr Es Mi Destino, Zhu aka Juliette, a Mandarin-speaking expat from France, emigrated to Canada after never really feeling 'French' enough in her own country. A mother of many talents, she shares her extensive journal of cultural adventures with a side of 'word nerd' love.

The Wandering Rose

Lindsay is an English expat who wears her wanderlust on her heart (and permanently etched on her skin). Wrangling with a nut allergy, an adoration of geography and a habit of geocaching her way around the world, the wandering rose is a window onto real expat life.

The Loud Americans

The Loud Americans are definitely the neighbours that throw parties leaving heads pounding for days and stories knitting for years. A family of 5 who have lived in India, Minnesota and now Toronto, Canada, their expat blog is a journal of mischief, love and wonderful family news.

Maple Bacon Please

Eschewing traditional stereotypes, or rather opting to taste as many as possible, Danielle is an expat who moved six months ago from Australia to Canada in search of Poutine, BeaverTails and Canadians wearing pyjamas in public. At Maple Bacon Please, there are Yellow Bus Rides in true North American tradition, a 'desperately seeking' series trying to answer so-called "easy" everyday questions every expat has, and a wonderful vein of saucy humour.

Lost In The Leaf City

A fantastic resource in its own right, Lost In The Leaf City is a blog for newcomers and immigrants in Canada. Blogging topics include learning, volunteering and Carolyn's journey to become less of an Alberta stranger each day. Her escapades are both typical of a foreigner and embarrassing feats typical of a clumsy, slightly obsessive-compulsive part of her character.

How's It Going Eh?

A self-confessed A Japanese-American valley girl's notes on the adaptation to life in The Great White North, the title alone of this intriguing blog draws readers into the hair-raising tales - including an especially funny list of driving perils in Vancouver. Meeting her husband on a snowy mountain top brought Shelli over to the other side of the great American border, but four years and a baby-Mountie or two still make life rather interesting...

Brown Bear Travels

Warning: sharing incredible travel adventures on a Canadian working holiday, this British couple will induce wanderlust and lure unwary travellers to a country where the chocolate can be a little disappointing (this is their opinion) but where it's entirely possible to throw yourself off gigantic falls in a wooden barrel. (Don't worry though - Brown Bear Travels discovered a hack to get good English sweets delivered to their doormat.)

Brits In London

Brits In Toronto proudly proclaims to blog the best pubs, curry, jobs and dental care in Toronto. Voted "Best New Website 2013" by the editor's mum (the best accolade to garner by far), this community journal is a collection of tips, tricks, where to find the best tea, and expat member features; perfect for networking.

Eat Live Travel Write

Now calling Toronto home, Australian Mardi somehow manages to fit in a full-time job teaching French, running cooking classes for young lads, contributing freelance foodie articles and teaching French pastry techniques.

Oh, and she manages to fit in her her blog eat. live. travel. write, a journal of gastronomic adventures and settling into expat life.

Expat in Toronto

Oscar Wilde said, "Memory... is the diary that we all carry about with us", so here's a few impressions of my experiences as an expat in Toronto.
