Tanya’s quite active across Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, posting updates from her blog and sharing the vibrant sights, traditions and food that she discovers in her new home. You’ll also find lots of useful content such as ‘how to avoid Delhi belly,’ posts to help you navigate Indian traditions, and more.

A French family enjoying all aspects of expat life in Bangalore. Johanne, Nicolas and their young son love to travel, sharing colourful snapshots of their adventures across India. If you’re new to India or simply stuck for inspiration of what to do and see in the country, Sharrell’s Twitter feed will give you a boost. Based in Mumbai, the Australian has lived in India for more than a decade following a ‘crisis’ that propelled her in a new life direction. She writes for an Indian travel website and tweets her latest stories which come complete with gorgeous photography. Sharell also regularly retweets topical blogs and articles from other expats in India.

Aakanksha is a firey British expat – a petroleum drilling engineer living in Mumbai. She’s also the founder of the storified.me website which showcases the unheard work of women around the world. Follow her for no-holds-barred commentary on happenings in India, the UK and women’s issues. She also provides insights into startups and entrepreneurship.

Self-confessed data nerd Peter Claridge is a British expat who transplanted himself to Chennai. He loves the city so much he wrote a book about it. Unsurprisingly due to his day job, his feed has a clear marketing, social media and analytics flavour. However Peter also tweets local recommendations, like the best pubs for an after-work beer and helpful visa information. Peter keeps his followers entertained by documenting his many encounters with Uber drivers in India.
